Friendship Club

Weekly Friendship Club meetings emphasize making and maintaining friendships. Our play-based activities foster an ideal learning environment for children ages 5-7 to practice targeted skills.

Our PEERS® groups are a great fit for preteens, teens, and young adults who are motivated to develop and maintain meaningful friendships.

Groups are curated based on age and areas of need.

Need help with a specific skill? On a time crunch? Our evidence-based curricula target specific skill areas with just a few sessions. Bootcamp ages vary based on topic and range from 12-24 years.

Kid Social Skills

Friendship Club

Friendship club is an ongoing group for children ages 7-10. Our small groups meet weekly for 60 minutes and This emphasizes making and maintaining friendships through providing a safe and fun environment for learning and practicing skills.

 

Weekly sessions include time for social interaction with similar-age peers and cover a variety of important topics such as basic conversation skills, flexible thinking, perspective taking, sportsmanship, and problem solving. Offered in-clinic in Boise, ID and Portland, OR, or via Telehealth.

Friendship Club

Social Skills

14-week social skills intervention for adolescents 14-17 with socioemotional challenges. Small groups meet once per week for 90 minutes. Parent training groups are taught concurrently.

Weekly social skills intervention for ages 10-14 with socioemotional challenges. Curriculum is provided in 20-week cycles and particiants may join at any time. Small groups meet once per week for 60 minutes.

*Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) was developed at UCLA by Dr. Elizabeth A. Laugeson and Dr. Fred Frankel. It is an evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated individuals who want to learn the skills to develop meaningful relationships. During each group session, participants are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills in session during various activities (e.g., conversation games, board games, etc.)

   Bootcamps are designed to teach evidence-based social skills to anyone interested in learning more. Our two-day camps are the ideal way to learn the same ecologically valid skills without the long-term commitment. Each bootcamp targets a specific skillset using didactic lessons, roleplay demonstrations, and behavioral rehearsals with trained social coaches.

Dating in the Digital Age

Dating Group

Dating in the Digital Age is a two day bootcamp is designed to teach young adults (18-24) evidence-based social skills as they relate to dating.

  • Flirting

  • Accepting rejection

  • Ghosting

  • Online dating

  • And many more…

 

Attendees are presented with ecologically valid skills through didactic instruction, role-play demonstrations, and have the opportunity to practice the real world skills through behavioral rehearsal exercises.

Conflict resolution skills are a must. Our Bully-Proofing Bootcamp aims to teach adolescents aged 12-17 evidence-based social skills for handling interpersonal conflict while exploring the most effective ways to handle bullying.

  • Physical bullying

  • Cyber bullying

  • Conflict resolution

  • Embarrassing feedback

  • Rumors and gossip
